An excellent opportunity has arisen within the staff residence team for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed individual to influence and contribute as part of the Domestic Services Team at James Cook University Hospital.
Domestic Supervisors are an important member who assist with maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for staff within the residence department.
The successful applicant should have previous supervisory experience in a healthcare or hotel environment.
Main duties of the job
Successful post holder will be required to supervise the domestic team to maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the residence area.
To be responsible for the supervision and training of the domestic team.
Will work with the residence administrator to ensure cleaning tasks are completed in preparation for future accommodation bookings. Will carry out admin tasks as and when required to support the administrator.

Essential criteria- Ability to prioritise workload.
- Flexible approach to work and adaptable to change.
- Able to work with minimal supervision following set procedures.
- Good IT skills including good working knowledge of full Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Operating System • Able to use own initiative to resolve routine queries in line with departmental procedures.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Supervisory Certificate or relevant experience
- Basic Health and Safety Certificate or equivalent experience
- Attendance at foundation improvement training and the new and aspiring leaders’ program within first year of role
- Management of Health and Safety Certificate Customer care qualification

Disclosure and Barring Checks (DBS)
