Marshfield has undergone rapid improvement over recent years to become one of the country’s highest performing primary schools, ranking 22nd out of nearly 21000 schools in the 2019 KS2 SATS. In 2024 we were ranked the 4th best primary school in the North of England, and 81st nationally This has led the school to be featured in the Sunday Times Parent Power lists and is one of the very small number of primary schools to be awarded World Class School Status by the World Class Schools Quality Mark.
Since 2020 Marshfield has been part of Carlton Academy Trust (CAT) which emerged from the outstanding success of Carlton Bolling, an inner-city Bradford secondary school. Today, we proudly oversee three secondary schools, three primary schools, and three special schools, collectively educating nearly 5000 students, and employing almost 1,000 members of staff.All CAT schools are rated either Outstanding or Good by Ofsted, with Marshfield receiving a grade of ‘Outstanding in all areas’ grade in our 2025 inspection.
The school has just over 470 students and is situated in a vibrant community serving a diverse demographic of children close to the centre of Bradford. Marshfield utilises a bespoke curriculum designed to create an enquiry-based approach to learning, with inspiring and culturally relevant teaching sequences led by teachers who are passionate in providing an outstanding primary education.
Marshfield is a ‘Nurturing School’, being the first primary school within the city to achieve this national award, in recognition of our continued emphasis on supporting the well-being and mental health of all staff, students, and families.
We are seeking to appoint a skilled and dedicated Class Teacher to join our innovative team. The successful candidate should have a passion and ambition to develop as a teacher and be an integral member of a team who wish to raise the aspirations and achievements of our pupils.They should be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning and an ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities. The successful candidate will provide a supportive, stimulating environment and share the high expectations of achievement for all pupils.
The individual must be a reflective practitioner and be committed to strong personal growth and continuing professional development.
