Role Responsibilities:

As a Science Specialist Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver engaging science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, following prepared lesson plans to ensure continuity during teacher absences.
  • Support and supervise students in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, sparking curiosity and interest in science.
  • Facilitate individual and group learning, adapting to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Maintain a focused, positive, and safe classroom environment that aligns with the school’s safeguarding standards.
  • Assist with marking, assessment, and feedback in collaboration with science teaching staff.
  • Build positive relationships with students, encouraging a love for science and helping them develop transferrable skills like critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in science (a degree or equivalent qualification in a science-related field is preferred).
