Location: Rhondda Cynon TafPay: £13 – £14 per hour (PAYE)
Contract: Full-time | Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM

We are looking for a Compassionate, Experienced Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in RCT, supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), physical disabilities, and complex medical needs.
This role requires someone confident in personal care, manual handling, and 1:1 support – ideal for candidates with a background in care, nursing, or working with vulnerable children and adults.
The Role:
✔️ Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with high-level care needs✔️ Assist with personal care tasks, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene
✔️ Confidently use hoists and mobility aids (manual handling training desirable)
✔️ Work closely with class teachers, therapists, and support staff
✔️ Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
✅ What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children/adults with complex needsBackground in care, SEN schools, residential, or supported living settings
Comfortable with personal care and manual handling (training can be provided)
Patient, resilient, and committed to making a difference
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
EWC Registration (support available)
