About the Role:Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join an Ofsted-rated good secondary school in Wilmslow. This full-time position, starting after February half term, is an excellent opportunity for a skilled educator to inspire students and contribute to a thriving Mathematics department.
As a Maths Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring students develop strong numerical and problem-solving skills. You will play a vital role in supporting students' academic progress and fostering a positive attitude towards Mathematics.
The pay for this role will be in line with your payscale, reflective of your experience and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Teach students across a range of abilities, using a variety of strategies to ensure effective learning.
- Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on student progress, setting high expectations to drive achievement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to develop confidence in their mathematical abilities.
- Support students in preparing for GCSE examinations, helping them develop problem-solving techniques and exam strategies.
- Engage in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and continuous professional development activities.
- Contribute to the wider school community by participating in extracurricular Maths-related activities, such as clubs or competitions.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification, with a specialism in Mathematics.
- Experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is advantageous but not essential).
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- A commitment to providing high-quality teaching and fostering a culture of academic excellence.
