Due to the continued growth of Bohunt Horsham, we are seeking a passionate and collaborative Science teacher to join our inspiring department. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-achieving team where Science inspires young people to become the most enquiring, empowered and proactive problem solvers they can be.
We are in our sixth year since opening, located just north of Horsham, West Sussex. We currently provide education for students in Reception and Years 7-11. Over the next few years we will grow to become an all-through school for 1620 students aged 4-16 with a nursery facility.
We are part of the supportive and innovative Bohunt Education Trust which now has ten schools across four local authorities: Hampshire, Portsmouth, West Sussex and Wokingham; Bohunt Farnborough joined in January 2024 and Rusper Primary School in March 2025.You will benefit from being part of a multi-academy trust offering the support of experienced colleagues across our schools and greater opportunities for career progression for those with both potential and aspirations to progress.
Students perform very well in Science at Bohunt Horsham, in both progress and attainment (Combined and Separate courses). Importantly, students here love Science - it’s one of the most highly regarded subjects across the school, reflected in the fact that we have at least two Separate Science classes in every year group and a strong cohort progressing to study post-16 Science courses at our local further education partners.Beyond the classroom, we foster a culture of scientific curiosity through clubs, challenges, and trips, ensuring students are constantly inspired to understand the world around them.
