Fire Door Inspector - Contract Role

Alarm Communications Limited is a respected leader in fire protection, commercial security, and building management systems, based in Surrey. We specialize in ensuring the safety and security of various prestigious buildings and landmarks across Greater London.

We are seeking an experienced Fire Door Inspector to join our dedicated team on a contractual basis.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of fire doors to ensure compliance with current regulations and safety standards.
  • Assess the effectiveness and functionality of fire doors, identifying any defects or necessary repairs.
  • Document findings and maintain accurate records of inspections and recommendations.
  • Provide clients with clear and concise reports detailing the condition of their fire doors and any necessary actions to maintain compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with the engineering team to ensure timely repairs and upgrades are performed.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to fire door safety.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Proven experience as a Fire Door Inspector or in a similar role within the fire safety sector.
  • Strong knowledge of fire door regulations, standards, and inspection processes.
  • Attention to detail and excellent observational skills to identify potential issues.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey findings and recommendations to clients.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
  • Full, Manual UK Drivers Licence is preferred.
