- edge Directorate which supports the student journey through guidance, support, practical services and educational opportunities for students and staff.
We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as a Catering Assistant, who will assist with the delivery and service of catering provision throughout the City and Ninewells Campuses.
The post holder will have a key role in delivering a high standard of quality catering at events across campus, following all HACCP and REHISS Regulations.This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and flexible team and assist in creating a friendly and welcoming environment focusing on customer care.
Although most catering service is provided during typical working hours, some evening and weekend work may be available.
Priorities will include: ?
Assisting in food service and delivery across campus and in cafes as required.- Preparing and serve hot/cold beverages.
- Following food safety instructions and reporting any concerns immediately.
- Clearing and cleaning tables.
Dishwashing including use of mechanical dishwasher.
- Working as a member of a team to ensure excellent customer service.
Who we're looking for: ?
Good Secondary School education including Domestic Science/Home Economics qualification or equivalent ?Work experience in a catering environment ?
Interest in food service and food safety ?
Experience of dealing with customers in a busy environment ?
Good communication skills ?
