We are recruiting a committed and knowledgeable Qualified Maths Teacher to join a well‑established secondary school in the Essex area. This role is perfect for an experienced practitioner or a confident ECT looking for a supportive environment to grow.
About the Role
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering high‑quality Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available depending on experience)
- Planning, marking and assessing in line with school policy
- Creating a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting department initiatives and contributing to curriculum development
- Managing behaviour effectively and building strong relationships with students
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – essential
- Strong subject knowledge and confidence teaching GCSE Maths
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners of varying abilities
- Good classroom and behaviour management skills
- Professional, proactive and reliable approach
- Previous UK secondary teaching experience
- Competitive pay aligned to the Main Pay Scale or equivalent
