AX Integration Consultant

We are seeking an experienced AX Integration Consultant to lead the integration workstream of a critical migration project from Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 to a new Warehouse Management System (WMS). This role will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing robust integration solutions between legacy AX environments and the new WMS platform, ensuring seamless data flow, system compatibility, and minimal business disruption during the transition.

• Assess and document current AX 2009 interfaces, data structures, and integration points related to warehouse operations.
• Design and implement integration architecture to support communication between AX 2009 and the new WMS solution (e.g., via APIs, middleware, or ETL tools).
• Collaborate with functional teams, business analysts, and WMS vendors to define integration requirements and testing scenarios.
• Support data mapping, transformation logic, and integration testing efforts to validate end-to-end flows.
• Troubleshoot integration issues, provide root cause analysis, and implement fixes as required.
• Ensure data integrity, real-time performance, and transactional accuracy across systems.
• Contribute to migration planning, cutover strategies, and post-go-live support for integration-related components.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, configuration guides, and interface specifications.
• Train internal teams or external partners on integration best practices and support handover.

• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX (preferably AX 2009), with a strong understanding of its architecture, data model, and integration capabilities.
• Proven experience in integrating AX with WMS platforms or similar third-party logistics/supply chain systems.
• Hands-on experience with data integration tools (e.g., BizTalk, SSIS, KingswaySoft, Logic Apps) and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Solid understanding of warehouse processes, inventory management, and logistics data flows.
• Strong SQL, X++, and data transformation skills.
• Experience working in structured project environments (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
