The Housing Support Assistant - Grade D plays a crucial role in assisting individuals and families to secure safe and stable housing. This position is essential in providing comprehensive support and guidance to clients at various stages of their housing journey.
The ideal candidate will work closely with case managers and housing outreach programs to ensure that clients have access to the necessary resources and services. Responsibilities include conducting assessments to determine individual needs, developing personalized housing plans, and providing constant follow-up assistance to monitor progress.
The Housing Support Assistant will also be involved in community outreach efforts, building relationships with local landlords, and collaborating with various stakeholders to create a seamless support system. This role not only requires excellent communication skills but also a genuine commitment to helping vulnerable populations navigate housing challenges.

Responsibilities
Assist clients in securing suitable housing according to their needs.
Conduct initial assessments to determine the housing and support needs of clients.
Create, implement, and monitor personalized housing support plans.
Provide ongoing support and follow-up with clients to ensure progress is maintained.
Collaborate with case managers, landlords, and service providers to create a network of support.
Facilitate workshops and information sessions to educate clients on their rights and responsibilities as tenants.

Maintain accurate records of client interactions and housing outcomes.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in social services or housing is a plus.
Previous experience in housing support, social work, or a related field preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse client populations.
Understanding of housing policies, tenant rights, and community resources.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping and reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with case management software.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Hours Per Week: Start Time: 09:00

End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £12.59
