For one of our clients, we are looking for a Senior Financial Controller, remotely from the United Kingdom.

As a Senior Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. You will oversee month-end processes, financial reporting, and statutory compliance while working closely with cross-functional teams to improve financial operations.

Your expertise in audits, treasury management, and process optimization will be crucial in maintaining robust financial controls. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys contributing to the strategic financial direction of a company.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead month-end profit and loss (P&L) processes, including balance sheet reconciliation and variance analysis.
  • Prepare interim financial statements and ensure statutory accounts align with regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary contact for external auditors, ensuring a seamless year-end audit process.
  • Enhance financial reporting systems and internal controls to drive efficiency and compliance.
  • Contribute to ERP system projects, focusing on automation and operational improvements.
  • Provide technical accounting expertise and advisory support across finance teams.
  • Develop and implement treasury management strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with banking requirements by managing KYC documentation.
  • Support tax-related activities, including R&D tax credit claims and international tax compliance.
  • Oversee insurance renewals, risk assessments, and customer insurance queries.
Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA qualification with a solid background in financial reporting and audits.
  • Strong technical accounting expertise, with the ability to guide and advise teams.
  • Experience with treasury management, tax compliance, and ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Google Suite for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multiple departments.
