Job overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Band 6 Junior Sister who wants to join our dynamic and diverse team within Douglas ward at St Mary’s Hospital.

The successful candidates must have good decision making skills, enhance clinical experience with good managerial skills in managing and leading a busy Hepatology ward and acute medicine side rooms in delivering patient centered care within the framework of the multi-disciplinary team.

Main duties of the job
  • To provide high quality, effective, individualised care to all patients that is compassionate and caring.
  • To assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate them without supervision
  • To assist in leading and monitoring the performance of the nursing team
  • To deputise for the Senior Nurse when required
