An exciting opportunity has opened up for an English graduate to join a secondary school in Wolverhampton as an Unqualified English Teacher starting January 2025.
Unqualified English Teacher- Full-time, long-term role starting January for the remainder of the academic year
- Earn up to £550 per week as an Unqualified English Teacher
- School located in Wolverhampton
- Teach English and Literacy across the school for students aged 11-18
- Monday-Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
- ‘Good’ graded secondary school with outstanding facilities
- Work closely with students struggling with literacy and reading skills
- Potential teacher training opportunities starting in September 2025
You will teach lessons, support students' literacy and reading development, and help improve attainment across English subjects. The school has made significant strides in supporting a diverse student body and strives to provide all pupils with access to a broad and engaging curriculum, helping them succeed in their future pathways.
You will collaborate with the English department to identify students who may be falling behind their targets, creating 1-1 and small group sessions to provide tailored support. Your role will be particularly important during exam periods, where you will focus on preparing students for their exams and ensuring they reach their full potential.
The school also offers in-house teacher training opportunities starting in September 2025 for candidates who perform well in their role and show an interest in pursuing a teaching career.
