Wiltshire College & University Centre have an exciting opportunity for a Personal, Social Development & Employability (PSD)Tutor to join our team.

Location: Cross College/Trowbridge, Wiltshire
Salary: £25,522 per annum (Professional Services Grade 5)

Job Type: Fixed Term until 4th July 2025

Full Time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Personal, Social Development & Employability Tutor - The Role:

An exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and supportive team dedicated to delivering an interactive and engaging tutorial programme encouraging personal development, growth and a positive transition into adulthood.

Personal, Social Development & Employability Tutor - Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive sessions to encourage personal development and growth among students.
  • Customise sessions to meet the specific needs of diverse student groups, covering topics such as online safety, sexual violence, sexual harassment, Prevent, and British Values.
  • Facilitate and coordinate cross-college themed weeks related to careers, destination and progression, health and wellbeing, and enrichment activities to enhance the overall student experience.
  • Implement a student-centred program focusing on softer outcomes and the holistic development of students to facilitate positive progression.
  • Maximise work readiness and employability through targeted initiatives.
  • Provide 1:1 pastoral tutorials signposting to internal and external agencies as required.
  • Actively support student engagement and student voice initiatives.
  • Provide support to wider Student Services teams, including safeguarding, work experience, and careers.

Personal, Social Development & Employability Tutor - You:

  • Proven experience in managing groups of students and engaging with them in an educational setting.
  • A background in delivering support and direct input to student groups, including health, wellbeing, study skills, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and employability skills.
  • Strong record-keeping skills, proficiency in data inputting, and the ability to provide timely reports.
