Field Service Engineer

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 basic + van + bonus & other company benefits

This role requires a strong technical background, a passion for customer service, and the ability to work independently across various healthcare facilities. The position involves traveling within Wales to provide on-site support to hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair healthcare equipment and medical devices, including imaging systems, diagnostic machines, and patient monitoring systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards.
• Provide technical support and training to healthcare staff on the operation and upkeep of equipment.
• Collaborate with internal teams and healthcare providers to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
• Conduct equipment testing and calibration to ensure performance meets manufacturer specifications and industry regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, including reports, parts used, and equipment status.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in healthcare technology and comply with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
• Travel regularly to healthcare facilities across Wales, responding to service calls and providing excellent customer support.

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Previous experience in field service engineering OR a background in Military, ideally within the healthcare or medical device industry.
• Strong knowledge of medical equipment, including its operation, installation, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards in healthcare, such as MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) and NHS requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule with frequent travel.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel across Wales.
