Role Overview:
As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support the delivery of engaging and dynamic English lessons. You will provide essential help to students who may require additional support, ensuring they are given the best chance to succeed academically.This role is ideal for graduates considering a career in teaching, offering a first step into the educational field with ongoing support and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Support: Assist in the planning and execution of interactive English lessons, ensuring that students are actively engaged and supported throughout.
- Targeted Student Assistance: Provide tailored one-on-one and small group support to students struggling with literacy, grammar, reading comprehension, or writing skills. You will help to break down complex topics and ensure students have a clear understanding of key concepts.
- Assessment and Feedback: Help mark assignments and provide constructive feedback to students, fostering a growth mindset and encouraging continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For:
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in English, English Literature, or a closely related field. Strong knowledge of the English language, literature, and writing conventions is essential.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain concepts and provide effective feedback.
