Finance Assistant
Hours: 40 hours per week, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, 52 weeks per year.
Contract: One-year Fixed Term Contract.Salary: £25,680 per annum, dependent on experience.
An exciting opportunity has become available for an organised and enthusiastic Finance Assistant to join St George’s Weybridge on a one year Maternity Cover contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support on all aspects of finance administration to our busy and friendly finance team, comprised of seven people. Main duties will be to:
- Support the processing of invoices into the purchase ledger, ensuring all invoices are filed and obtaining approval from budget holders.
- Prepare BACS payment runs.
- Bank postings and month end reconciliations.
- Maintain supplier accounts in the purchase ledger system.
- Reconciling supplier statements and following up discrepancies.
- Support the accounting for other areas including reconciling council tax, utility and government funding accounts.
- Reconciling school trip accounts.
- Anything reasonably requested by the Head, the Bursar, or the Board of Governors.
Experience working within schools would be welcomed but is not essential and full training will be given.
