- Note that whilst the role is remote, there is a requirement to attend a mandatory office day once a quarter, for our quarterly team meeting which includes a planning session and a team-building activity. This is located in Blackburn, BB1.
Tasks
Client Payroll Processing:
- Accurately and efficiently process payrolls for assigned clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant UK legislation and regulations.
- Utilise Payroll software effectively, adapting it to each client's specific needs within the company's standardised processes.
- Collect and review client payroll data, including amendments, and calculate payroll accurately.
- Obtain client approval for finalised payroll calculations.
- Submit payroll reports to relevant authorities (HMRC, pension providers, etc.).
Client Communication & Support:
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing timely and professional support.
- Answer client inquiries and resolve payroll-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction with our services.
Continuous Learning & Improvement:
- Stay informed about changes in UK payroll legislation, tax regulations, and industry best practices.
- Actively participate in training sessions.
- Seek opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge to better serve clients.
- Contribute ideas for improving internal processes and systems.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Data Entry & Verification: Accurately enter payroll data, ensuring all information is correct and complete.
- Document Management: Maintain organised records of payroll-related documents, including client communication and payroll reports.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to share knowledge and provide support.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A passion for technology and its role in streamlining processes
- Prior experience in payroll processing or a related field is an asset but not a must
