Please be advised that there is a temporary top up for Bands 2 and 3 to reflect the incorporation of the top up to the living wage of £12.60 per hour - £24,638 per annum.

This temporary top up will be in place until the annual pay uplift for 2025/26 is confirmed

Job overview

To support the SACT booking administration team across the 3 hospital sites, for booking of SACT treatments of an efficient service. Under the management of the Administration Manager the team leader will maintain set objectives to ensure policies and procedures are developed and followed in compliance with local and national guidance and policies.

Main duties of the job
  • Supervising and manage the administrative team to deliver an efficient and high quality booking and scheduling service across the 3 day case units.
  • Effectively analysing workload and staff rotas.
  • To manage patient pending list to ensure compliance with BCUHB / Welsh Government targets, escalating potential breaches as per policy / procedure.
  • Contributing to reporting mechanisms, collection of data and conducting audits.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high quality of service to patients, carers and other visitors.
  • Be responsible for the overall management of the SACT booking email system.
  • Responsible for all personnel functions and training of SACT booking team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • NVQ Level 4, or equivalent qualification / work experience
  • Good knowledge and understanding of principles of confidentiality
Desirable criteria
  • ILM Level 2
  • Evidence of continual professional development

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working with Microsoft Office application to a high level.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and complex sets of information and situations. Experience in dealing with a variety of senior people and above.
  • Experience of assisting with the management of an operational service.
Desirable criteria
  • NHS experience
  • Use of Datix, risk management software
  • Experience of using Chemocare
