Senior Client Accountant

Are you an experienced qualified accountant (AAT, CIMA or ACCA) looking for an exciting new opportunity?
As the Senior Client Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the reporting, budgeting, and forecasting requirements for a key client with approximately 1600 let and vacant properties. You will also have the opportunity to develop internal processes for clients of this nature.
Job Title: Senior Client Accountant
Hours: 9am-5:30pm
Salary: £30p/h - £33.50p/hLocation: Birmingham - hybrid working (Mon/Tue/Thurs in the office)
Start date: Within 2 weeks
Contract: Ongoing temporary
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team and oversee day-to-day transactions and accounting systems
- Complete month-end financial reporting statements in accordance with reporting KPIs
- Prepare budgets and forecasts, working collaboratively with internal and external colleagues
- Provide ad-hoc accounting analysis and reports for the client
- Share best practises and ensure implementation across the client accounting group
- Support the existing management teams in providing financial advice and reporting to clients
- Assist with accounting support for tenders and mobilisation of new contracts
- Work closely with other teams to ensure processes and reports meet client requirements
What we're looking for:
- Qualified accountant (AAT, CIMA or ACCA)
- Significant finance experience within industry
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and a team
- Strong knowledge of budgeting and forecasting
- Proficiency in complex financial tools in MS Excel
- Excellent communication skills and time management abilities
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong analytical skills
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and a strong team player
- Computer literate with advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
