SEN Tutor needed in Guildford - Immediate Start

We are currently seeking a dedicated Tutor to support 3 pupils with special educational needs, one in Year 9 and another in Year 10. This role involves both home tutoring and on-site sessions at a local school, providing tailored support in English and Maths.

Day-to-day of the role:

• For the Year 9 Pupil:
• Provide 4 hours of tutoring per week, spread across 2 days.
• Focus on English and Maths, adapting to the pupil's Year 7 academic level.
• Address and support communication issues and reengage the pupil with structured educational activities.
• For the Year 10 Pupil:
• Deliver 4 hours of tutoring per week, also spread across 2 days.
• Cater to the pupil's ASD and SEMH needs while leveraging her academic strengths.
• Focus on creating engaging and supportive learning experiences that promote educational success.
• School Sessions:
• Conduct on-site tutoring at the school from 9 am to 11 am every Tuesday and Thursday, focusing on English and Maths at a Year 8 level for the Year 9 student.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching, particularly with pupils who have special educational needs.
• Strong knowledge of the curriculum for English and Maths, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning abilities and needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with pupils and school staff.
• A patient, caring, and professional demeanor, with a strong commitment to enhancing educational outcomes for children with additional needs.
