Airport Baggage Handler - Birmingham

The Launch Group are currently recruiting for Baggage Handlers known officially as Ramp Agents at Birmingham Airport.

Location: Birmingham Airport

Driving Licence is required

Job responsibilities

The following responsibilities are associated with this job role:

• Aircraft baggage loading and unloading
• Baggage sorting and transportation
• Aircraft push back
• Unit load devise control
• Air side Driving
• Delivering exceptional and safe service
• Effective team player
• Committed to learning and growth
• Self-confident and can stay calm under pressure
• Organised and can manage time well
• Physically fit as lifting up to 32kg as required
• Have a driver's license
• Fluent English speaker
• Basic - intermediate computer skills

Requirements

• Flexible to work a variety of shifts (days, evening, nights, weekends, and public holidays)
• Ability to speak and understand the English language
• Ability to travel to the airport at times where public transport is not available
• Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply flexible approach when required
• Willingness to work in inclement weather
• Able to work in a manual handling environment and repeatedly lift up to 32kg throughout a shift
• Able to work in some confined spaces (aircraft hold)
• Able to work as part of a team in a challenging environment
• Hold a full driving licence (depending on operational needs)
• Previous experience working in an aviation environment is desired
