Are you a qualified Pharmacist looking for a unique opportunity? EPUT Pharmacy are looking for qualified pharmacists with excellent clinical and communication skills to join our dynamic and enthusiastic team as a Band 6/7 clinical pharmacist.

Joining our team of specialist mental health pharmacists we have roles which will support your professional development and provide opportunities to learn.

As well as spending time with a range of specialist professionals, we are keen to support your development and encourage learning through a variety of forums. We have recently joined with other mental health Trusts across the region to provide an exciting new psychopharmacology teaching programme which you will be able to join.

You will be supported to develop clinical skills through funded postgraduate study/qualification and to develop management skills.

Band 7 - you will have at least 2 years post-registration experience, have completed or be completing a post graduate clinical pharmacy qualification and possess well-developed clinical pharmacy skills.

Band 6 - we are happy to receive applications from newly qualified pharmacists or those who are keen to move from other sectors. You will be placed on our structured band 6 to 7 development pathway which will support you to progress to band 7.

You will provide clinical pharmacy services, enhancing the medicines-related care of patients, supporting the provision and development of medicines management services and participating in training, education, and audit as required. The department provides support to services including adult and older adult, secure and learning disability services at a wide range of locations.

You will be based in one, but will be required to support other locations.

Your primary role will be to provide clinical services to a dedicated area, and to develop skills and knowledge to enable you to contribute to multi-disciplinary team meetings and ward rounds, and provide medicines education to patients, carers and staff.

You will be supported by the senior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians within the team. You should be able to work on your own initiative as well as within a larger team.

You should be currently registered as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council. We welcome applicants from any background, including community pharmacy, with the passion to manage clinical services in a hospital setting. Experience in psychiatry would be an advantage but is not essential to fulfil this role, as you would be supported to identify and meet your learning needs, for example to undertake further postgraduate training in psychiatric pharmacy.
