Job overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Receptionist to join our patient services team on a bank basis to cover weekdays & evenings
The post holder will provide a comprehensive administrative service to the service and will be responsible for a variety of front of house activities and being a first point of contact for the service. In addition to this the post holder will be required to demonstrate appropriate computer literacy and data management skills.
The post holder will need to have a high level of personal and professional organisational skills, self-motivation and flexibility in approach and attitude. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing will be essential along with the ability to work in a collaborative manner with a wide variety of Health and Social Care Professionals, service users and partner organisations.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
You will need to have good customer service skills and be able to work as part of a team. You must be computer literate and able to work under pressure in a variety of jobs. Knowledge of WPAS would be advantageous.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge
Essential criteria- ‘A’ level Maths and English
- Significant experience of working with an MIU
- ECDL or Essential Skills Computer Training
- Knowledge of administrative systems, patient information systems and procedures acquired through on the job training
- Educated to NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field, e.g. Administration, Customer Service or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience
Experience
Essential criteria- Proven experience in delivering a high standard of service to the public at all times
- Knowledge of a range of administrative processes, including the use of relevant Microsoft packages
- Working knowledge of governance, data protection and confidentiality
- Ability to work unsupervised: lone working at weekends and nights
- Experience of working within an NHS organisation
- Proven track record in operating Information Management Systems
- Previous proven experience in operating telephony / Reception duties in a large organisation
