The Cheshire East Complex Needs service is an MDT whose remit is to improve outcomes for people who have complex emotional and relational needs, often resulting from events in their lives which were experienced as traumatic. This may result in high levels of service utilisation.

They may have been given a diagnosis of personality disorder.

The Complex Needs Service aims to increase the clients’ understanding of themselves and their needs, to support them to work towards their individual goals or priorities for change, broadly improve mental health outcomes, reduce levels of service utilisation (particularly urgent and unplanned care), and to increase the likelihood of the person’s engagement in mental health therapy treatments so that discharge may take place in a planned, recovery focused way.

The Assistant Psychologist will be involved in supporting psychological assessments and individual and group interventions, under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist. The role is important in making sure that evaluation and audit is an on-going and central part of quality assurance, service and team development, in line with local and national policies and frameworks.

Cheshire East Complex Needs Service is a small, welcoming and friendly team, which aims to uphold the Trust Values in all aspects of our work. We look forward to receiving your application.
