A highly reputable secondary school in Bradford is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join its permanent staff team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and supportive educational environment, committed to excellence in teaching and learning.
The successful candidate will be passionate about English and capable of delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. They will be committed to fostering a love of literature and language while ensuring students achieve their full academic potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons that cater to a diverse range of learners.
- Assess, track, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
- Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and department initiatives.
- Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students in achieving their academic goals and developing key literacy skills.
- Participate in wider school activities, including extracurricular clubs and pastoral responsibilities.
Requirements:
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- A degree in English or a related subject.
- Proven experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 and KS4); experience at KS5 is desirable but not essential.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature and language.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative working.
- An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
