Assistant Headteacher - Curriculum Delivery
We are seeking a dynamic and highly effective Assistant Headteacher – Curriculum Delivery to lead on the continuous improvement of teaching, learning and curriculum delivery across Yarrow Heights School on a one-year fixed-term basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key strategic leadership role within an Ofsted Outstanding school.
The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in driving high standards of teaching and learning, developing and implementing robust quality assurance systems, and ensuring high-quality professional development for all teaching staff, including ECTs and UQTs.Working closely with the Head of Education and senior leaders, you will help to embed a culture of excellence, consistency and evidence-informed practice across the school.
You will also play a key role in supporting the operational running of the education team and ensuring that curriculum intent is translated into consistently high-quality classroom practice.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for an existing or aspiring senior leader to gain valuable whole-school leadership experience within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.
Requirements- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience in a senior leadership or middle leadership role within education, ideally in an SEN setting (e.g. Assistant Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, or equivalent responsibility).
- Extensive teaching experience with a strong track record of improving pupil outcomes.
- Strong understanding of curriculum design, sequencing, assessment and quality assurance processes.
- Experience of leading staff development, coaching, and delivering high-quality CPD.
- Experience of lesson observation, learning walks, and providing effective developmental feedback.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, challenge and support staff.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Ability to build effective relationships with staff, pupils and stakeholders.
