Hours per week: 37 hours per week
Contract Length: Anticipated 12 months
Location: Hybrid – Reading, West Berkshire
We are seeking an Assistant Buyer to manage all buying activities, including handling complex orders, ensuring that demands are accurately understood and fulfilled, and addressing any issues promptly. While buying experience is preferred, it is not essential, as we are primarily looking for transferable skills.Candidates with strong administrative abilities, excellent attention to detail, and a solid background in customer service are highly desirable. Experience in either the public or private sector is welcome.
Key Responsibilities:
Review requisitions, place purchase orders in line with the correct route to market and expedite orders to meet business needs.Build robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate order placement and on time delivery in line with the business needs.
Ensure Supply Chain processes, tools and systems are adhered to, leading by example and ensuring the correct route to market place is selected.
Work with key stakeholders to ensure the speedy resolution of queries, expediting of deliveries and closing overdue commitments.
Key requirements:
