ABOUT THE ROLE
Manage the Business Rates Team, providing oversight to the rate payment process and monitor performance.
You will identify and implement rates mitigation schemes across Client portfolios, charging fees where applicable.
Liaise with Clients appointed rating providers and the Workman PM team to ensure that all information is reported accurately.

You will oversee the rates payment process, reconciling payment reports and chasing funding where required.
As the Rates Manager you will be responsible for the implementation of mitigation schemes; liaising with Property Managers, obtaining quotes, approvals, monitoring occupation, claims and fees.
You will liaise with Client Ratings Advisors regarding appeals and reconciling accounts and obtaining refunds where necessary.
Other duties will include:
- Overseeing Administration team’s day to day roles, overseeing reminders from the administration team, advising on Reminders and Summons and approve demands raised.
- Complete a variety of monthly reports.
- Reconcile all accounts and obtain accurate refunds.
- You will liaise with Property Mangers and Clients regarding any liability disputes between tenants and landlords
- Experience managing a team
- Business rates knowledge – MRICS (preferrable)
- Property Management systems knowledge
Salary Band £21,000-£23,000
