Job Description:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one and group support to students with special educational needs.
- Assisting in the delivery of personalized education plans (IEPs) and differentiated learning activities.
- Supporting students with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, physical disabilities, and emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Encouraging students' confidence, independence, and social interaction skills.
- Assisting with classroom organization, preparation of resources, and management of SEN-specific tools or equipment.
- Liaising with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure consistent and effective support.
- Promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent.
- Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of strategies and interventions to support diverse needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach to supporting students.
- Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
