The Opportunity
Hinkley Point C Supply Chain is looking for a Commercial Manager – Data & Analytics to join the Insight & Improvement Team!
In this role, you’ll be instrumental in developing strategic reporting for the Supply Chain function, using your skills in data, reporting, and systems. You'll enhance reporting capabilities for HPC by working closely with teams across various programs and support functions, championing best practices in reporting and insight.
Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you’ll maintain and advance Supply Chain reporting, identifying areas for improvement, potential concerns, and risks. This role requires both strategic insight and a keen eye for data analysis.
You’ll regularly engage with the Supply Chain Heads of Commercial and Commercial Leads, presenting performance insights and data analysis to boost performance and understanding. Working closely with the Client team, you may also have the opportunity to manage a junior analyst, fostering collaboration and growth within the team.

What you’ll be doing
In this role, you’ll work with the Senior Commercial Manager to drive the strategic vision for supplier and contract performance reporting and supply chain risk management. You’ll oversee the generation of insights to improve commercial management and risk control, including managing the Contract Management System and handling ad-hoc insight requests.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and developing data to support centralised contract performance and risk reporting.
- Providing detailed analysis of commercial and supplier performance, collaborating with stakeholders to understand trends and oversee improvement plans.
- Leading the development of supply chain data systems and overseeing integration projects to enhance reporting capabilities.
- Improving business-as-usual reporting in partnership with the wider reporting and insight team.
- Working closely with other functions to elevate service offerings and drive measurable performance improvements.
Additionally, you’ll support the professional growth of both yourself and your team members, encouraging continuous development.
Who you are
We’re looking for someone educated to degree level in Data Analytics, Data Management, Business Analytics, or a related subject (or equivalent experience in these areas).
Proficient in Power BI, you’re skilled in transforming raw data into clear, visual insights that engage stakeholders at all levels and are able to take full ownership of the data and reporting process.
With excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, you adapt your style to suit various audiences, excelling in influencing, negotiation, and presentation.
Your analytical skills and commercial awareness allow you to identify key value drivers and spot trends within complex data sets. You have a solid understanding of contract performance measurement and supply chain risk management and are known for your results-driven approach and problem-solving skills.
