This is an exciting opportunity to lead a talented group of professionals while making a significant impact on housing quality and customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do:As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing a dedicated team of building surveyors and multi-skilled operatives. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leadership: Mentor and support team members in their professional growth, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
- Technical Expertise: Provide advice on building defects, conduct inspections, and develop effective remedial action plans.
- Project Management: Oversee building contracts from procurement to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Customer Focus: Maintain high-quality communication with customers, addressing their needs and resolving any concerns.
- Analyse building defects to identify trends and implement preventative maintenance strategies.
- Conduct surveys and prepare reports detailing findings and proposals for remedial actions.
- Collaborate with specialist consultants and contractors to enhance service delivery.
- Manage housing disrepair cases, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
- A relevant professional qualification (BSc Hons Building Surveying or equivalent).
- Membership in a professional body (e.g., MRICS or MCIOB) is desirable.
- Extensive experience in building surveying within the property services sector.
- Proven ability to manage building contracts effectively, with a focus on quality and performance.
- Strong analytic skills and knowledge of building pathology and construction methods.
- Full driving licence required.
- Great H&S knowledge regarding housing environment
