Assistant Management Accountant - Wakefield
Location: Leeds, LS15 (with hybrid working after completion of training)
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, DOE, plus extensive benefits

What you’ll be doing?
Producing daily performance reportingIdentifying and reporting anomalies and trends to the Management/Commercial Accountant and aiding resolution
Analysing data to forecast the monthly profit and loss
Review profit and loss at month end and identify/narrate variance to forecast
Journalling accruals and prepayments where necessary
Supporting the purchase and sales ledger function
Working closely with the Management Accountant/Commercial Accountant to ensure all tasks are completed in line with the monthly timetable to facilitate the production of the management accounts
Preparation and review of other key financial reports
Assisting with providing financial information to the business and completing ad-hoc financial and business projects
Clear and detailed balance sheet reconciliations
Who are we looking for?
Actively studying ACCA, CIMA, ACA – extensive experience working in a relevant roleCommercially focussed
Ability to use Excel at an advanced level
A proven problem solver - proactive in identifying issues within area of responsibility, recommending solutions and in implementing agreed recommendations“Can do” approach with tenacity and strong desire to develop personal skills and experience in a dynamic, commercial environment
Highly analytical and numerate with the ability to convert analysis into actions
Microsoft Office proficient - specifically the ability to use Excel at an advanced level (Vlookups, Pivots, ‘SUMIFS’, and similar formulas
