Your new role

As a Construction Planner/Pre-Construction Manager, you will play a crucial role in the planning and pre-construction phases of projects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential challenges and opportunities.
  • Design Review: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to review and refine project designs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant building regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
  • Resource Management: Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Quality Control: Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all project activities, including plans, reports, and correspondence.
What you’ll need to succeed
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred but not essential.
  • Extensive experience in construction planning and pre-construction management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Professional accreditation or membership with relevant industry bodies (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is preferred.
