We are currently working with qualified Speech & Language Therapists to help them find new and exciting opportunities with the Trusts here in Northern Ireland.As such, we are now recruiting on behalf of the Southern Trust for a Locum Band 6 Speech & Language Therapist to work with the Surestart service covering the Newry/Mourne Area! The ideal post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a specialist Speech and Language Therapy service within the Sure Start Project.
They will work as part of the Sure Start team and in close liaison with core Speech & Language Therapy services within the SHSCT. This particular post will be for 15 hours per week (1.5 days in Kilkeel & 0.5 day in Newry) and for 12 months cover initially.
Salary starting from £20.28 for the first 12 weeks and increasing to £21.10 thereafter for PAYE, with 37 days annual leave and pension provision from day one. Umbrella Company services also available.
Requirements- Degree / Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy or a related Degree with postgraduate qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
- Registered member of HCPC and RCSLT
- At least 2 years post-qualification experience as a Speech and Language Therapist, to include a minimum of 1 years’ experience working with 0-4 year old children within the last 5 years
- Postgraduate training and /or experience in relevant courses e.g. Makaton, Derbyshire Language Scheme, Hanen, Elklan.
- Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment
