Quality Control Shift Manager Relevant Experience Required

As the Quality Control Shift Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee shift operations, ensuring the maintenance of consistent quality standards and optimal performance. You will coach and manage Team Leaders and auditors, monitor performance metrics, and address issues in a timely manner.

Leading root cause analyses for errors, you will identify improvement opportunities and develop action plans to reduce error rates.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Lead the shift and ensure seamless shift transitions by maintaining operational continuity and aligning resources to meet staffing and production requirements
  • Drive the monitoring and analysis of key performance metrics, addressing issues and supporting strategic decisions to improve operational effectiveness and quality outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to auditing and quality standards across shifts, providing guidance and support to maintain consistent performance and process integrity.
  • Lead efforts to investigate productionautomation errors and quality concerns.
  • Collaborate closely with Team Leaders to drive the development and execution of initiatives focused on process optimisation and standardisation.
  • Oversee the generation of reports and analysis, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making and support continuous improvement.
  • Act as a liaison between QC teams and production, ensuring effective cross-functional communication and consistent updates on targets, expectations, and quality standards.
Who You Are:
  • Experience in a managerial or team leader role.
  • Experience working in a warehouse or similar environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Proficient in Gsheetexcel.
  • Experience in a quality control role in the manufacturing industry.
  • Knowledge of food safety (HACCP) is preferred.

Location: The Windmill, Derby, DE21 7HW

Working pattern: 4 on 3 off shift pattern, Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday 7am - 7pm. (However, 2 weeks in a month you will be required to work 9am - 9pm)
