Head of Tax - Sheffield

HW Finance is exclusively recruiting for a Head of Tax working for a highly acquisitive and expanding PE organization.

Operating in a market which is valued at over £3b in the UK alone, you will be leading the Tax function across all areas of tax compliance and strategy . With international growth high on the agenda this year, the business has shown sustained growth to date and is recognized as the leading player in its market.

In the role you will:

• Manage all areas of tax, to deliver timely and accurate filing of all necessary returns and payment of liabilities to avoid financial penalties and inspections for the group
• Support the business to ensure that tax issues arising from commercial decisions are identified and addressed and tax issues resolved
• Optimise tax efficiency and identify possible tax savings following appropriate processes to minimise tax liability and maximise appropriate reliefs.
• Work closely with the finance team on M&A activity, not just in an advisory capacity, but as a key player in assessing and implementing the tax aspects of acquisitions, ensuring that all transactions are tax-efficient and compliant.
• Recruit and evolve a team to ensure growth of the tax function is strategically aligned with the groups growth plans.

Experience required:

• ACA/ACCA/CTA qualification or equivalent.
• Significant experience in a tax management role - preferably within a private equity-backed business however this is not a prerequisite
• Experience managing a team would be ideal
• Excellent stakeholder management
