About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Nursery Nurse to join one of our partner nurseries on the outskirts of Southampton. This is a full-time role that offers the opportunity to work with young children, supporting their development and learning in a nurturing, stimulating environment.The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for early years education and be committed to providing high-quality care and education for children aged 0-4.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and education to children in the nursery, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support the development of key skills, including communication, social interaction, and early literacy and numeracy.
- Observe and assess children’s progress, keeping accurate records and sharing information with parents and colleagues.
- Support children’s emotional and social development, providing a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work as part of a team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the nursery.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Assist with the maintenance of a clean, safe, and stimulating environment for the children.
- Follow nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Level 3 Nursery Nurse qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
- Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting is preferred.
- A good understanding of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach to working with children.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment.
- A positive attitude and a genuine passion for working with young children.
