JOB DESCRIPTION
Part-time Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a happy 12 year old girl living in the Tonypandy area with my family. I have a diagnosis of ASD & ADHD. I am physically fit and have no mobility issues. I don’t like the feel of certain materials. I also don’t like loud noises and I will wear ear defenders when I am feeling overwhelmed by sound.I can occasionally display challenging behaviours, but can be managed through redirection and distraction techniques.
I enjoy playing with sensory toys and with my iPad. I like McDonalds, super noodles, pizza and tangerines. I enjoy going to techniquest, cinema, bowling and swimming.
PURPOSE OF JOB
Personal Assistant to support me in the community and with accessing activities.
HOURS OF WORK- 5 hours per week
To be worked after school or the weekend
RATES OF PAY
£12.00 per hour
TASKS INVOLVED
Support me with social outings and community activities safety and appropriatelyDriving me in your car
Act as a friend/companion
Ensure my safety at all times
Any other reasonable tasks
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
Reliable, trustworthy & punctualFriendly and chatty
Someone who is active with a youthful attitude
Someone with an understanding of my conditions
Car driver/owner with business class insurance
ABOUT THE JOB
Though a part-time job, this will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay given.
The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check - which will need to be carried out before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer (Local Authority).
