To select and apply Occupational Therapy Assessments for a caseloadaddressing occupational performance, skill deficits. Enabling the client inareas of self maintenance, productivity, leisure and engagement. To plan and implement client centred individual and/or group interventions,using clinical reasoning and a wide range of treatment interventions toachieve therapeutic goals.
To monitor, evaluate and modify treatment for clients with multiple needs inorder to measure progress and ensure effectiveness of intervention.Completing outcome measures To apply a high level of understanding of the effect of disability and providetraining and advice on lifestyle changes and adaptations to the clientssocial and physical environment where applicable To provide effective leadership, performance management, supervisionand appraisal for junior staff.
To provide specialist advice to OT colleagues in other clinical areas. To provide specialist advice and training to carers, clients and otherprofessionals. To be responsible for the supervision and written assessment ofOccupational Therapy students on practice placement within the Trust.
To participate in the operational planning, and implementation of policyand service development within the team. To maintain a high level of knowledge of resources, service and nationalissues relating to people who have a learning disability.
