Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cleansing HGV Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) to carry out essential cleansing and waste collection services in our community. The ideal candidate should possess excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of safety regulations, and the ability to effectively manage time and routes.You will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and contributing to a sustainable environment by ensuring that waste is collected and disposed of properly. This position requires a commitment to quality service and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
As a Cleansing HGV Driver, you will interact with members of the public, and therefore, good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential. Proper maintenance of the vehicle and adherence to all traffic laws and regulations are crucial aspects of this job.

ResponsibilitiesOperate HGV vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Perform routine checks and maintenance on HGV to ensure optimal functioning.
Collect waste and recyclables from designated areas according to the schedule.
Communicate effectively with team members and the public regarding collection schedules and services.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines to ensure personal and public safety during operations.
Complete all required paperwork, including daily vehicle checks and collection reports.
Assist with loading and unloading of waste materials as necessary.
Report any incidents or accidents promptly to the management team.
RequirementsValid HGV license with appropriate endorsements (C, C+E).
Previous experience as an HGV driver, preferably in waste collection or cleansing services.
Strong knowledge of local travel routes and waste management practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to lift heavy loads.

Hours Per Week: Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 19:00Pay Per Hour: £20.00
