We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented **Accounts Assistant** to join our client's dynamic team in Bromsgrove. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated finance professional to advance their career within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes.

**Key Responsibilities **
  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
  • Manage customer invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Perform daily and monthly reconciliations for multiple accounts.
  • Assist with the preparation of journals and maintain ledger accuracy
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing financial reports.
  • Process employee expenses in line with company policies
  • Assist with VAT submissions and compliance.
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance team.
**Required Skills & Experience**
  • Previous experience in a similar accounts assistant or finance role.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • AAT qualification or working towards (desirable but not essential).
