School Attendance and Student Support Officer- Lambeth
Do you have experience working in a school environment as an Attendance Officer or Student Support Officer? If so, we have a great opportunity for you to join our team at a vibrant secondary school in Lambeth.
Responsibilities:- Monitor and improve student attendance, ensuring compliance with school policies and government regulations.
- Identify and support students who are at risk of persistent absenteeism.
- Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to promote regular attendance.
- Provide one-to-one student support, addressing any barriers to learning.
- Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and senior leaders to ensure every student receives the support they need to succeed academically and socially.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and prepare reports for senior leadership.
- Previous experience as an Attendance Officer or Student Support Officer within a school environment.
- A proactive approach to improving attendance and supporting student well-being.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and staff.
- Knowledge of attendance and safeguarding procedures.
- A commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of young people.
