Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Are you a passionate and dedicated individual looking for a rewarding role supporting a SEN pupil in a Primary School setting? We have an exciting opportunity for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive team on the Isle of Portland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom.
- Assist with the development and implementation of individual learning plans.
- Support the pupil’s emotional and social development.
- Work closely with the class teacher to ensure effective learning and engagement.
- Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment.
- Help with general classroom duties and ensure the pupil’s well-being.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN (desirable but not essential).
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with children.
- Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude.
- A passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
- A DBS check or the willingness to undertake one (if required).
