GP Assistant/ Receptionist

Job description We are looking for full-time (37.5hours) Receptionist to join our patient orientated and friendly teams. We are offering a competitive salary of £13.15 per hour. We aim to deliver high-quality care to our patients, and you will be central to this as the front of house staff, often being the first point of contact.
Both of our practices are training practices for GP registrars and medical students. Experience - YOU MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN THIS ROLE Main duties of the job This a rewarding and challenging role suited to people who like working in a busy environment and lots of patient contacts.
You will be required to have a good knowledge of IT systems. You will need to have good attention to detail and have a calm and caring nature. Job responsibilities Ensure appropriate use of appointments. Deal with all general enquiries, explain procedures and make new and follow up appointments for patients Register new patients including compilation of patient files.
Take responsibility for the delivery of safe, effective, high quality reception service To manage time and resources effectively with an ability to prioritise workload and be flexible in response to changing or urgent needs when required To ensure the reception and waiting room are kept tidy and free of hazard at all time Ensure all work is carried out with agreed time scales in accordance with practice policy The above list of duties is not exhaustive and may be subject to change as deemed necessary.

The successful candidate will have GCSE grade A-C in English and Maths or equivalent good understanding of IT systems Attention to detail Stay calm under pressure Work well in a team
