Health and Safety Advisor
Job type: Permanent/Contract
Start date: ASAP - Subject to clearance
Salary/ Pay rate: £40,000-£50,000 per annum / £40-£45 per hour Umbrella
Location: Seascale, Cumbria
Hours of work: 37 hours per week
Applicants must posses the following:- IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
- Minimum 2 years experience in a health & safety-led role
- Nuclear or construction experience
- Member of Tech IOSH
- Develop and review health and safety policies and procedures
- Ensure H&S policies are communicated site wide and are understood by all parties
- Carry out risk assessments regularly
- Develop control measures to mitigate identified risks
- Update and maintain risk and hazard records
- Deliver health and safety training to staff and contractors
- Investigate incidents and near misses
- Maintain incident records
- Develop emergency response plans
