As a Senior Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will work within a dedicated and highly skilled team, contributing to the rehabilitation and recovery of individuals with a wide range of complex needs, including cognitive, behavioural, physical, and emotional difficulties following brain injuries.
Key responsibilities include:- Delivering high-quality occupational therapy using a neurobehavioural model.
- Managing a diverse caseload and prioritising tasks effectively.
- Supervising therapy assistants and rehabilitation support workers as part of the multidisciplinary team.
- Working with patients to regain independence in areas such as social, leisure, and vocational activities.
- Conducting complex risk assessments and developing tailored care plans.
- Engaging in service development and research to enhance the organisation's approach to neurorehabilitation.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
- Experience in neurological rehabilitation and the ability to work autonomously.
- Strong communication and report writing skills.
- The ability to manage a complex caseload and formulate comprehensive risk assessments.
- Experience in supervising and training others.
- A valid UK driving licence.
