Support Worker Waking Nights

Overview:

We have opportunities available for Full Time Support Worker - Waking Nights to join a new team at our brand new Ivanhoe Community Supported Living Service, based in Rotherham, S66 9EF.

The 24 hour CQC registered service will be home to 3 adults living with mental health, learning disabilities and autism diagnosis and is due to open in September 2024 - staff training is to commence prior to opening. The team will provide various support to ensure the service users can live as independently as possible, engage with the local community and help them to engage in an active life, retain personal autonomy, social identity, meaning, purpose and achieve a positive sense of self.

Salary: £12.00 per hour

Hours: 35 hours weekly

Responsibilities:

As a Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to work with adults living with various conditions including LD, dementia, mental health and other physical conditions on a person-centred basis. You will be there to ensure that residents are involved in all decisions regarding their care, and you'll help encourage and develop new skills through a variety of different activities.

In this role, you will work waking nights and be responsible for providing excellent care to your residents. Your duties will include administering medication, carrying out personal care tasks, conducting security checks, and performing domestic tasks.

You will play a vital role in ensuring that your residents are safe, comfortable, and most importantly happy.

Qualifications:

It’s important to note that you do not need prior industry experience or any specific qualifications to be considered for this role. On joining Making Space you will be supported step by step with on-the-job training as well as the opportunity to undertake professional qualifications if desired and required for your role.
