An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Officer to join our growing food manufacturing client based in Leicester.

This role will support the technical department across all areas of production and warehousing, helping to drive a strong food safety and quality culture. The successful candidate will ensure the business remains compliant with all relevant standards and is always “BRCGS Grade AA audit ready.”

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and promote a proactive Quality Assurance and Food Safety Culture
• Ensure all operational processes and finished goods comply with food safety and customer standards through HACCP controls
• Manage and improve factory documentation and quality systems
• Conduct internal audits in line with BRCGS standards
• Complete scheduled audits and help resolve non-conformances
• Maintain up-to-date supplier documentation and approvals
• Oversee microbiological testing programmes
• Investigate and close out customer complaints
• Assist with on-site training and development activities
• Provide cover for Technical Managers, including during BRCGS and third-party audits

Requirements:

• Experience in a quality or technical role within a food manufacturing environment
• Sound knowledge of HACCP principles and QMS systems
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
